

Merritt Island
After a long battle with breast cancer, Vivian Crouse passed away peacefully on February
10, 2011, in her home on Merritt Island. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Cameron, Missouri on March 19, 1919, she married Van C. Crouse Jr. on
June 1, 1941. After 61 years of marriage, he preceded her in death in 2002.
Vivian will be remembered as a talented artist, nurturing parent, loving wife and sister
and loyal friend. She was known for her gentle kindness. Vivian traveled the world with
her husband, but her family was her world. She will be dearly missed.
Vivian is survived by her daughters, Connie Edgar and Sharon Crouse; grandchildren,
Sharon Dietrich and husband Scott, Ross Edgar and wife Tricia, Shannon Friedrichs
and Lauren Friedrichs; great grandchildren, Alexis and Bryson Dietrich; sons through
marriage, Mike Edgar and Tom Friedrichs. She is also survived by her loving sisters,
Winifred Garlow, Betty and husband Bill Sessoms, and their wonderful families. Vivian
also has many dear friends throughout the world.
No service is planned at this time. A memorial service will be held in Kansas later
this year. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her honor to the American
Cancer Society.
