Our deepest sympathy goes out to the William Croswell Family at this time of sorrow.  May the love of family and friends help carry you through your grief.   Grief can be so hard, but your special memories helps you cope.  Remembering you and your loved one today and forever.  May you find comfort in knowing that your dear one is safe in the memory of God, who will remember every detail about him and bring him back again.  How important it is to search the Bible for a scripture that will help your family.  Here is one of  them.  It reads like this. "  God will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord God will certainly wipe the tears from all faces."  Isaiah 25:8

Dear Nancy and Tom, I knew Bill for at least 50 years while at NASA and at the Harris Corporation.  We had many good memories as he graduated from VMI (undergraduate) and I from The Citadel.  We always had a bet on the VMI-Citadel football game...usually $10.  Sometimes, when Bill lost the bet his memory would fail him when it was time to "pay up."  Well, one year, when I lost, I paid him in dimes that were epoxied over on a plaque with the date and score.  He laughed at that and kept the plaque on his desk at NASA for years.  Don't know where the plaque went when he left to go to Harris???

Dear Family, I had the honor to work with Bill for many years at Harris. I have many memories of Bill and our hours of working proposals. We all know that Bill will be missed by all. My condolences to the family. God's Blessed Peace be with you all.

Dear Family, I knew Bill for about 50 years. I was graduate student at The Ohio State University and Bill was leading his group at NASA. I wrote my thesis and PHD dissertation under Bill's funding and project. He was always challenging me during those years. I was very young and had no idea what a great opportunity was in front of me. It seemed no matter what complex project, Bill would pressure me to help him solve it. I recall many trips to the FAA in Washington to determine how to solve our failing Microwave Landing System. Fortunately, I wrote my dissertation on the analysis of antennas on aircraft. So, Bill and I could run all kinds of examples to determine the problem and solve it. It lead to major project at NASA to modify their Boeing aircraft using our proposed solution and the failed one. We were so excited when the actual airborne tests verified that we had solved the problem.
About this same time, Bill and Joe came and stayed at our house during his mouth surgery. My wife, Jean, has always felt bad in that we had small beds and Bill and Joe surely did not fit well in our bed. Nevertheless, they never even mentioned this shortcoming.
Even later in time, Bill invited Ben Munk and myself to help Harris make a new type of antenna that was beyond anything done previously. Ben was a genius with the design of such antennas, but he never had the chance to make and refine it. Bill realized the value of this antenna and immediately wanted to complete the full design. It took several years, but it finally worked well and used for very special missions. It was totally unique and lead to new vehicles. I am sure that it lead to many years of major projects at Harris.
There were many other examples of Bill's great talent, but others can tell about them.
During my consulting years at Harris, my wife, Jean and I loved spending time with Bill and Jean plus Bob Taylor and his wife. Bill and Jean were great hosts. They would often get fresh fish and make an awesome meal at their home. During the day, I would work with Bill and my wife, Jean, would spend time with Jean. For some reason, they enjoyed shopping.
I thank God for the time that I had working with Bill. It was always a challenge and forced me to learn how to solve such complex problems by breaking them into a set of simpler problems. Such skills are only learned by working with mentors that show you the way.

Dear family,  I have many good memories of Uncle Fay.  I will never forget him or Aunt Jean.  I know you miss them as much as I miss Mom and Dad.  We are finally at the top of the todum pole.  No more parents.  It feels a little scary but we will keep going on for as long as the lord wants us to.  We love all of you very much and I pray that the lord is with you during this time of need.  I just need to keep in touch more often.  I will really try to do better.
