William and his wife Mary rented my parents guest house in about 1957 for 7 or 8 years when I was 15. We lived in south Miami and all of us felt like family. Bill worked for Honeywell controls and I became interested in how it applied to air conditioning so he took me on some of his jobs. He guided me to the local union where I spent four years working and attending their night education classes. Thanks Bill, I made far more money in a field than I would have made with just a high school education in an occupation made for me. 
After they moved to to the space coast I would visit them often every time I was passing through. When Mary passed away I could see he was suffering until he passed away. I called his phone many times and found no one home and finally entered his name in the obits. I'm sure the two of them are looking down at us in each others 
arms smiling now.
