He was preceded in death by his parents: Clarence and Mary Mauk, his brothers Clarence, Jr., and Tommy Mauk, and his eldest daughter, Connie Garcia. He is survived by his son, Jim Mauk, and daughter and son-in-law, Leigh Ann and Rocky Richardson. He was also blessed with grandchildren, Matt Meyer, Tori Franks and Summer Garcia; and four great-grandchildren: Noah Meyer, Nathan and Noelle Franks, and Olivia Bronson.
After graduating from Garber High School in Oklahoma, he joined the U.S. Navy and served on the USS Wasp during World War II. Bill would often share stories about his experiences aboard the aircraft carrier. After serving his country, he returned home and married his childhood sweetheart, Norma June Southwick.
Some of Bill's hobbies and interests were watch repair, woodworking, gardening, and fishing. Bill, also known affectionately as Dad or Pops, was a faithful believer in Jesus Christ, a loving father and true gentleman. His steadfast faith in the Lord endured through the years and grew stronger with life’s challenges. He enjoyed serving in his local church for over 50 years. It is a blessing to know He is now with His Savior in heaven.
A memorial celebration of Bill’s life will be held at a later date.

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.” Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
