Mr. Harvey Guy Pittman Jr.

Mr. Harvey Guy Pittman, Jr. age 82 of Nashville passed away peacefully at his home on July 8, 2014. He was born on October 13, 1931 to Mary Leona and Harvey Guy Pittman, Sr. in Rocky Mount, NC. He graduated from Nashville High School in 1949. He entered the US Army in 1952 during the Korean War. He completed training as a Medic at Fort Hood Texas.

He was a charter member of Birchwood Country Club, and also a Charter Member of North Nashville Ruritan Club. During his lifetime, he was a farmer, storerunner, licensed insurance salesman, and real estate broker. He loved to spend time with his family, hunting, fishing, playing ping-pong, pool, and golf.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Lennie Sue McLaurin Pittman and five sisters Pearl Womble, Mildred McLemore, Ellis Shaffer, Mary Woodbury, and Peggy Wrenn.

He leaves to cherish his memory his granddaughter, Jamie Staton Valentine (husband Michael), grandsons Travis Smith (wife Chynna) and Brad Smith, stepchildren Laura Smith (husband Jack), Marilyn Smith (husband Bob), Richard Wynne, and several nieces and nephews.
