Barbara Ann Rivers, 81, of Lowell passed away Thursday, August 20, 2020. Barbara was born August 31, 1938 in Colt, Arkansas to the late Wallace N and Helen Margaret West Rich. Barbara was also preceded by her loving husband of nearly 57 years, John E. Rivers, Jr and by her brother, Charlie Rich. She retired from a career as secretary to the president of First National Bank of Rogers and was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Rogers. Barbara enjoyed working in the yard and watching birds. She enjoyed old Cary Grant movies and listening to Michael Crawford in the Phantom of the Opera. She will be remembered for being an Elvis groupie, sitting on the fence to catch a glimpse of him in her youth. Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Carol Rivers of Lowell; her sister, Libby Rich-Armstrong of Forest City; her special friend, Roxanne Birchfield of Bella Vista; numerous extended family members and dear friends. A Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00pm, Saturday, August 29, 2020 in the Chapel of Rollins Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 5506 W.
