Betty Geary

Betty Geary was born on December 17, 1919 to Harvey ( Mac ) and Theresa McCaughey in Arlington, South Dakota. Betty passed away at Innisfree Nursing Home in Rogers on August, 14th, 2023. Betty and her husband Donald E. Geary were married in 1941 and they enjoyed 61 years of marriage prior to Donald’s passing in 2002. Betty worked as a registered nurse while living in Redfield and Aberdeen, South Dakota before moving to Rogers, Arkansas in 1972. Betty then worked as a transcriber for Saint Mary’s Hospital for almost 30 years before retiring in 2002. Betty faithfully served and dearly loved her Lord Jesus Christ. Betty and her husband served as missionaries for the Assembly of God Church in the Philippine’s for 10 years spreading the word of God as Donald worked as a civil engineer for the Bible Broadcasting Company. Betty loved her church, sewing, gardening and socializing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ervin Geary and son, David Allen Geary. Betty is survived by her sons, Tim Geary and his wife Gloria of Rogers, Mike Geary and his wife Janis of Cave Springs, daughter-in-law, Karen Geary of Minnesota; 5 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson.

A celebration of life is set to be scheduled for a later date.
