

Elbert Joseph “E.J.” Miller Jr., 93, of Rogers, passed away on May 12, 2026. He was born in Holcomb, Missouri, to the late Elbert and Sunshine Miller. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Miller, and his daughter, Ashley Prueter.
E.J. will be remembered for his love of golf, his talent for playing cards, and his gift for storytelling. He took great pride in sharing memories of his family and was an active, dedicated member of his community. He served as President of the Prairie Creek Association, supported the Beaver Lake Fire Department, and volunteered at his local polling location during election seasons.
Above all, E.J.’s life was rooted in love—especially the deep devotion he had for his wife, Barbara. He cherished his family with steady loyalty and found joy in sharing their stories. He never met a stranger and was always ready with a smile, a conversation, or a helping hand. His warmth, humor, and gentle presence will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his daughters, Karen DeWeese of Chicago, Laurie Raffel (Dave) of Rogers, and Robin Howard (Mark) of Kentucky; his son, Glenn Miller; his grandchildren, Shannon (Chad) Hammon, Sheri Ferguson, Shellie Ferguson, Robert Prueter, Brittany Prueter, Brad DeWeese Jr., and Michael Miller; his great-grandsons, Jim Ferguson and Riley Foltyniewicz; as well as numerous extended family members and dear friends.
