On February 15, 1947, he married Dessie May Bushard who preceded him in death in June, 1998; fifty-one happy years together. He worked for the Frisco Railroad for ten years, then for the U.S. Postal Service until he retired as Postmaster in Steele, Mo. He was a member of the Church of Christ, serving as an elder for several years.
Survivors include three children, Kay Simmons (Steve), Mark Enderle (Michelle), Kent Enderle (Carla); grandchildren, Jessica Phillips (Mark), Jonathon Enderle (Kimberly), Allison Gabbard (Jeff), Doug Simmons, Shelley Hazel (Westley), Presley Payne; and fourteen great-grandchildren with more on the way.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 10 in the Rollins Funeral Home Chapel.
