Harvey Allen Smith

He was born February 8, 1936 in Viroqua, WI to Vladimir Buford and Merle Henthorn Smith and served his country as both a Marine and Air Force veteran. For 30+ years he worked as a computer engineer for the Department of Defense prior to several years of service with Wal-Mart Headquarters. He was retired and enjoyed reading and playing cards in his spare time. He spent many years involved in the ministries of his church, and was a current member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and a politicial activist. Most of all he loved the Lord and his family. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brought him great pleasure and joy.

Survivors include 4 children, Michelle (Kenn) Marshall of Rogers, Babette Murphy of Illinois, Sean (Katie) Smith of Rogers and Heather (Joel) Hurst of Rogers; and by grandchildren Clorie (Tim) VanTuyl, Bryce and Brienna Murphy, Garrett, Harrison and Sydney Smith and Ryan, Conner, and Emma Hurst; and by 4 great-grandchildren, Destiny and Promise Dillion and Bailey and Hannah VanTuyl.

He was preceded by his parents and 3 brothers; Larry, Gordon, and Gary Smith.

A memorial service will be held Friday, 2:00 pm October 18 at Rollins Funeral Home chapel, with inurnment at a later date. Condolences may be expressed at www.rollinsfuneral.com. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.
