She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Bentonville. Her faith and family were very important to her and she was a blessing to all who knew her.
Hazel was a schoolteacher at St. Patrick’s School, in North Little Rock, for over 30 years. She was a mentor to the younger teachers and offered a kind word and smile to all she encountered. She enjoyed growing flowers, reading and volunteered at the church teaching classes.
Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Massanelli, Sr.; and her son, Julius (Joe) Massanelli, Jr.
She is survived by her daughters, Dee A. (Gary) Scritchfield of Siloam Springs and Catherine S. Massanelli; 6 grandchildren, Michael Harvey, Whitney Harvey, Joseph Scritchfield, Jaylyn Massanelli, Haley Massanelli and J.T. Massanelli; and 7 great grandchildren.
Her Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 2pm at St. Stephen’s Church in Bentonville, with burial at Calvary Cemetery in Little Rock, Thursday, February 22 at 2pm.
