Helen Marie Showalter, 79, of Lowell passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 surrounded by her adoring children. She was born March 30, 1941 in Rogers to the late Ralph Vincent Ritchey and Lizzie Mable Grimes Ritchey. Mrs. Showalter was also preceded by her husband of nearly 56 years, Lloyd C. Showalter. Helen will be remembered as an Angel; a caregiver who was compassionate to all and always watching out for the rabbits, squirrels, birds, kids, her dogs and her family. She enjoyed a long career before retiring from J.B. Hunt. Survivors include her daughter, Shari Showalter of Houston, Texas; her son, Greg Showalter of Lowell; her brother, Jimmy Ritchey of Rogers; numerous extended family members and dear friends. A private funeral service will be held with inurnment in Fayetteville National Cemetery to follow at a later date.
