Jim was born May 6, 1954, to Mary Ann and Dennis Pierson in Ivanhoe, Minnesota. He was one of three children. He was baptized, received his first holy communion, and was confirmed at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ivanhoe, Minnesota.
Jim made his home in Ivanhoe, driving trucks over the road for the family business. In 1983, he moved to Bentonville, Arkansas, where he continued cross-country trucking - his two cats, Bonnie and Clyde keeping him company.
Jim retired in Centerton, AR, where he enjoyed working outdoors and creating wood burning art.
He is survived by his sisters, Phyllis Saunders of Centerton, Arkansas and Bonnie (Gerald) Peterson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; two nieces and one nephew; six great nieces and nephews; and a great-great niece and nephew.
James is preceded in death by his parents and one nephew.
