
Janice Lou “Nanny” McGinnis, age 62, of Bentonville, passed away Monday, December 31, 2012, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. She was born in Springdale on August 27, 1950. She was a member of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Bentonville and operated a child care facility in her home. She was also a member of the SIX Steppers Fan Club.
Survivors include her daughter, Diana Norman of Bentonville; son, Jason McGinnis and wife Dacey of Raleigh, North Carolina; sister, Doris Lowery of Bentonville; grandchildren, Samuel and Landon Norman, Zephi McGinnis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Orbin Snodgrass; mother, Mary Lou Snodgrass-DeShields; and a sister, Debra Leslie.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2013, at First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church with funeral services to be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Pastor Terry Simmons will officiate and interment will follow in Benton County Memorial Park.
