Jerry Don Davis

Jerry Don Davis, a gentle and kind-hearted man, sadly passed away on February 2, 2026, at the age of 73. He was born on November 23, 1952, in Lubbock, Texas to the late Robert and Martha (Bentle) Davis.

Jerry spent most of his childhood traveling to various new places with his family. In high school, he was called to serve in the United States Air Force. Jerry served as a Weapons Mechanic Specialist from 1974 to 1978. After his military service, he dedicated over 26 years to a career as a truck driver where he retired.

On May 28, 1988, Jerry married his wife, Tammy Davis, with whom he shared 26 years of marriage. Together, they raised three children: Amanda, Jennifer, and Ryan. Jerry was proud to be a father, and he was always protective of his family.

Jerry was passionate about good music, dancing, and enjoying life. He loved all kinds of music, from country to rock and roll. George Strait and Elvis Presley being his most favorites. Jerry cherished spending time with family and friends, hosting barbecues, and being social. He enjoyed playing cards, riding horses, and was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Jerry was also a dedicated member of Monte Ne Baptist Church in Rogers since 2005.

Jerry leaves behind a legacy of love. His family will remember him always being affectionate and endearing. He was also chivalrous and would always put others before himself. He will be dearly missed by those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, James Davis; sisters, Linda Bush and Rebecca Riley; as well as one niece and nephew. Jerry is survived by his children, Amanda Laughter, Jennifer Davis, and Ryan Davis; former spouse, Tammy Davis; sisters, Angela Bush and Doris Crumley; and grandchildren, Peyton Leslie, Reece Combs, Ava Hixon, Braiden Davis, Maddox Hixon, Bella Simpson, Maddy Hixon, and Brianna Davis.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 9th, 2026 at Monte Ne Baptist Church in Rogers at 1:00 pm. Jerry will be laid to rest at a private graveside at Pace's Chapel Cemetery.
