He loved hunting, fishing, and farming. He liked working with cattle and horses. Jim looked forward to spending time in nature with his family, especially his grandchildren and he cherished every moment he spent with them. He was a very kind soul and will be missed.
Jim worked at the Arkansas Western (aka, Black Hills) Gas Company for over 40 years. He also managed Tucks Chapel Cemetery in Rogers after his father “Corky” passed in 2013.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bobbie Council; and sister, Linda Jean Munoz.
Jim is survived by his son, Toby and wife, Valerie of Rogers; brother, Larry Council of Rogers; grandchildren, Coby Council, James Horton, Jessica Ferreira, Julien Council, Joshua Council, and Ellowyn Council; 2 great-grandchildren, Mariam Ferreira and Jebediah Ferreira; niece, Diana Cook and daughter, Kaylee of Rogers.
Visitation will be on Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 4 until 7 in Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be on Friday at 11am at Rollins, with burial to follow at Tucks Chapel Cemetery in Rogers, www.rollinsfuneral.com.
