Joyce was born to Will and Nervia Dickey Horn on January 18, 1927 on Peter Point Mountain in Newton County, Arkansas. She was the eighth of ten children.
She married Orphus Burline Reddell, her husband of 66 years, on June 22, 1942. Together they raised two children while running their poultry and cattle farm. Joyce worked for Purina, Pel-Freez in Rogers, and Emerson Electric until her and Orphus retired. Upon retirement they explored the world in their camper.
Joyce loved to camp, travel, fish, quilt, knit, crochet and spend time with family. Her hobbies included playing board games and dominoes.
Joyce is preceded in death by husband, Orphus, and her siblings Edgar Horn, Cora Horn, Hazel Horn Reddell, Alma Horn Wabutski, Roy Horn, Cecil Horn, Walker Horn and John Horn.
Joyce is survived by her sister, Willa Jean Horn Taylor, and her sister-in-law Mary Gregory, as well as her son Burline Reddell and his wife, Janice, of Pea Ridge and her daughter Pauline Smith of Bentonville; her three grandchildren Teresa Bush and her husband, Darrel Bush, of Cave Springs, Tim Reddell and his wife, Dawn, of Bentonville, and Jerry Beaver and his wife, Jamie, of Pea Ridge; as well as five great-grandchildren Garrett and wife Naomi Bush, Parker and wife Sierra Bush, Ryan and Ryleigh Reddell, Abbi Beaver and two step-great-grandchildren, Kaycie Graves and Krysta Nash, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be on Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 6 until 8pm in Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral will be on Friday, March 30, 2018 at 10:30am in Cave Springs Church of Christ with burial to follow at Pea Ridge Cemetery.
