Milan “Dan” Rayniak, age 91 passed away in Bentonville on February 13, 2019. He was born on April 14, 1927 in Salem, OH to Dan and Mary (Pavaleisa) Rayniak. Dan served in the US Navy during Word War II on the USS Chester where he received a Good Conduct Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon, a Victory Medal and a Philippine Liberation Ribbon. He married Nelle Wagner in 1947. Working for Deming Pump Company, he and his family moved to Arkansasin 1960. Dan was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He was a kind and giving man who touched many lives. He loved sports. He coached little league baseball; officiated at local high school football games, and later enjoyed running the game clock. Two of Dan’s favorite things were cooking chicken with Whitey Smith and the boys to support the Rogers Mounties. His family always joked that he bled Mountie Blue! Dan was also a loyal Razborback fan! He loved working the farm with Doc Warren. Most of all Dan loved his family and cherished spending time with them. He always gave to others without expecting anything in return. He is preceded in death by both parents, his wife Nelle (Wagner) Rayniak, and sister Betty Farcas. He is survived by his daughters and their husbands; Carol and Larry Mills, Linda and Gary Whitson, Pam and Dwaine Brown, Dana and Doug Harvey; sister Zella Mickunas; 11 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren and one due in May. Visitation will be held at RollinsFuneral Chapel on Monday, February 18, 2019 from 5pm-7pm. Funeral services will be held the next day, Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 10am. Private family burial.
