Nathan Michael Hawke, 61, of Little Flock, Ark., died Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Ark. He was born Dec. 29, 1958, in Elyria, Ohio, to Merrill Perry Hawke and Marie Virginia (Michael) Hawke.
He graduated from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, with a Bachelor of Arts in History. He worked for years as a clerk at the Physical Plant at the University of Arkansas and also at Washington Regional Medical Center. He enjoyed listening to 1980's music, doing crossword puzzles, learning about animals, studying medieval history and heraldry, keeping current with political events and writing religious poetry. Although reserved, he had a great sense of humor and could talk about a wide variety of topics.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors include his father, Merrill Perry Hawke of Little Flock; one brother, Nelson Hawke of Indianapolis, Ind.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Nedra and Thomas Pence of Norman, Okla., and Nadine Hawke of Bartlesville, Okla.; and two nieces, Alyssa and Amanda Pence, both of Norman.
Arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers, Ark.
A memorial service will be held at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a local animal shelter or public library.
