Robert E. "Bobby" Carr, Jr. Is the eldest son of Robert and Kathryn Carr. He is survived by Julie his wife of 19 years, his mother, Kathryn, brother Jimmy, sisters Pam and Brenda. His children are Jennifer Adams, Jeremy Carr, Ali O'Neill and Montana Carr. Bobby was blessed with 9 grandkids and 2 great grandkids.
In 1974, the family-owned and operated business was established as Carr Plumbing, Inc. In 1979 Bobby joined the plumbing business under his father's direction becoming a journeyman plumber. In 2008 he obtained his Master Plumber license and mentored many young plumbers along the way. The business evolved and was eventually re-established Carr Kitchen and Bath Team. The business grew with the Bentonville community until its closure in December 2023.
Bobby's early years were spent in Catoosa, OK, where he enjoyed riding his horse and participating in the local 4H and state rodeo circuit. He would say he most loved playing baseball and basketball. He coached for 27 yrs many local teams including Little League and Babe Ruth baseball, girls youth softball and the highly- respected, company sponsored men's and women's softball team.
Bobby never met a stranger and was one of the easiest individuals to approach. One of his passions later in life was his involvement in local and state politics. In 2018, he ran for Bentonville city council and was a proud Republican Delegate 2018-2020. Bobby had great satisfaction and immensely enjoyed his involvement with the local meetings. Roll call was a serious matter and Bobby was the man for the job.
After his retirement Bobby focused his time on the home he shared with Julie, and their many animals. He was content to tend to the needs around the farm and was able to completely restore the extensive 2024 tornado damage before his abrupt cancer diagnosis in March.
Gratitude goes to the Carr family for their support, which made home care possible. To Dr. Brenda Rude who bridged the gap in Bobby's care during his initial crisis. And to Circle of Life Hospice who admitted him to home care in a seamless fashion with Nurse Cheyenne being the perfect fit for our situation.
Bobby shared laughter, kindness and his authenticity with all that knew him. He will be missed by many.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 25th at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers, Arkansas from 2:00-5:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, please support Circle of Life Hospice.
