

Tommy E. Kendall, M.D., 77, died at home in Rogers, AR on Feb. 22, 2015. He was born February 25, 1937 in Holdenville, OK to O.E. “Unk” Kendall and Alpha “Sis” (Scott) Kendall. He married Ima “Jane” Wood in the Rose Croix Chapel of the Scottish Rite Masonic Temple, McAlister, Oklahoma on August 24, 1957.
Tom was a 1954 graduate of Spaulding High School. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1962. From 1962-66, he was a resident at Iowa Methodist Hospital, Des Moines, Iowa. Then from 1966-1968, he was a Plastic Surgery resident at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. He was certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, in 1970. Colonel Tom E. Kendall, M.D., served in the US Air Force at Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, Ohio, retiring from active reserve in 1990. His private practice of Plastic Surgery was in Wichita, Kansas from 1970-1993.
He was a member of various organizations associated with medicine and /or flying. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge; in 2011, he received the Wright Brothers, “Master of Pilot Award”, (representing 50 years of flying with no accidents). As pilot of his Beech Bonanza V-35-B, he was always ready to fly.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Craig S. Kendall, JD.
Tom is survived by his wife, Jane of Rogers; son, Mark A. Kendall, M.D. of Rogers; 5 grandchildren, Stephanie J. Kendall-Wagner (Maxwell) of Fairway, Kansas, James S. Kendall of Topeka, Kansas, Lee M. Kendall, Meghan E. Kendall, Bryan P. Kendall all of Rogers, Arkansas.
Cremains will be interred in Holdenville Cemetery, Oklahoma at a later date. No local service planned. Arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home, Rogers.
