Jasper spent parts of his early life in California and Oklahoma before returning to Arkansas around 1965. In 1970, he made his home in Garfield, where he remained for the rest of his life.
Jasper was a hardworking man who held many roles throughout his life, including farming, truck driving, and milk hauling. He dedicated over thirty years of service in management within the shredding division at Walmart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna Cook and Fred Cook; his sister, Mary Bise, and her husband, Bob Bise; his daughter-in-law, Denise Cook; and his brothers-in-law, Gene Bilyeu and Keith Cook.
Jasper is survived by his beloved wife, Janice Cook; his sons, John Cook, Jasper Cook and his wife Alyssa, and Jason Cook and his wife Keresa; and his cherished grandchildren, Sara and Kaylee Cook, John Michael Cook, Rodney Cook, Marah Cook, River Cook, Randy Cook, Ashley Rhuems, and Jessica Rice, along with their children.
Jasper will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his devotion to his family, and his quiet determination. He also took great pride in a love story that proved everyone wrong—after only two months of dating, he and Janice married and built a lasting life together.
