

Bill Joe Fair, age 88, of Bentonville, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on June 12, 2012. He was born on November 24, 1923 in Elm Springs, Arkansas to the late Joseph Raymond Fair and Eunice Davis Fair. He attended his first 12 years of school in Cave Springs, Arkansas.
Bill married Carolyn Virginia Graves on March 23rd, 1947 and they just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
After graduating from High School he took courses in electronics by mail and upon his completion he traveled to Tulsa, Oklahoma to take his graduation exam. In 1944, Bill founded his business, National Radio Sales and Service in Cave Springs, Arkansas. Upon moving his business to Bentonville the business name was changed to: 'National Radio and TV Sales and Service' and eventually to 'South Main Electronics'. Due to Bill’s pioneering and innovative endeavors in the electronics industry he was recognized at The Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C. . Bill also received a Certificate of Training from the United States Department of Commerce in Meteorology . The Bentonville Chamber of Commerce awarded him with a Certificate of Achievement for over 55 years of Continued Growth and Customer Satisfaction for his business, South Main Electronics. Bill was also an avid Ham Radio Operator for many years.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn of Bentonville, 3 daughters, Debbie and her husband Tom Copelin of Palm Bay, Florida, Rebecca and her husband Ken Booth of Bentonville, Joyce and her husband Charles Harp of Bella Vista, 6 grandchildren, Stoney Copelin of Palm Bay, Florida, Misty Wilbur (Copelin) of Bentonville, Melanie Hyso (Tuttle) of Colcord, Oklahoma, Jonni Tuttle of Fayetteville, AR, Casey Booth of Centerton, AR, Kendra Booth of Centerton, AR and 11 great-grandchildren. A niece Elisa Bowlet of Rudy, AR, and a nephew, Geoff Frost of Austin, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Mary and by 2 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 15th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 16th, at 10:00 AM at The Haven Family Worship in Bentonville, AR. Pastor Ronnie Swadley will officiate the service. Interment will be in the Cave Springs Cemetery , in Cave Springs, AR.
