Mr. Hollis was born October 27, 1945 in Rome, Georgia the son of the late Fred Bryant and Pearl Martin Bryant. He was married to his beloved wife Laverne Hollis on May 28, 1971. Mr. Hollis was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a Brother, Roy Bryant.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years Mrs. Laverne Hollis of Rome, GA; one son, Charles “Chuck” Hollis Jr. of Rome, GA; two brothers and sister-in-law David (Eloise) Bryant of AL. Kenny Bryant of Rome, GA; one sister, Nancy Bryant of Rome, GA. Sister-in-laws and their husbands Linda and Gene Sloan of Rome, GA. Brenda and Varn Duvall of Kingston, GA. and a number of Nieces and nephews also survive.
The family receiveD friends on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Daniel’s Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM.
Graveside service wERe held at 1pm in Oakland Cemetery, Tuesday May 20, 2014. Nephews served as pallbearers.
