Dorothy Moore Leslie

Mrs. Leslie was born in St. Augustine, FL July 28, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Harry E. Moore and Julia Masters Moore. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Moore, Clarke Moore and three sisters, Mildred, Ruth Edwards, and twin sister Edna.

Mrs. Leslie grew up in St. Augustine, FL. She and her husband Ernest were involved with the Jacksonville Navy Credit Union. She loved volunteering at St. Vincent Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. She was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church in Jacksonville, FL where she also served as a Eucharistic Minister. She loved sewing and crocheting.

She is survived by her husband Mr. Ernest F. Leslie of Rome to whom she was married for 72 years, two daughters, Dorothy L. Reese (Sam) of Rome, and Gail R. Leslie of Phoenix City, AL., three grandchildren, Tasha Reese Shaw (Chuck) of Rome, Bryan Leslie Reese (Jilly) of Newnan, GA., and Tiffany Reese Langille (Ryan) of Illinois, and eight great grandchildren, Abigail Shaw, Anna & Charlie Shaw, Penelope Reese, Jack Reese, Beau Reese, Stella Langille, and Owen Langille. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

A Rosary will be held Friday March 20, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. A funeral Mass will then be held at 12 p.m. at St. Mary’s with FAther Patrick Kingery and Deacon Stu Neslin officiating. Interment will follow at Floyd Memory.
