Fred Randall Simpson, age 70, of Cave Spring, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from complications due to Covid-19. Fred was born June 16, 1951 in Atlanta, GA. Fred was a brilliant criminal attorney who specialized in criminal defense, criminal law, and juvenile criminal law. He was a true child advocate throughout his life.
For 18 years, he worked as Chief Assistant District Attorney for the Floyd County District Attorney's office. Around 2005, he started his own law firm in Rome, Ga. He held a Juris Doctorate Law degree from the Mercer University School of Law. He is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie Monde, Art faculty at Shorter University, and a stepdaughter, Vicky Camilleri. He is also survived by his sister, Donna Simpson, his niece, Nicole Angel one Alaina Bassett, one great nephew, Gabriel Angel, and one great-great niece, Alora Bassett who reside in Snellvile, GA.
