Marlene Major

Marlene was born on May 3, 1960 in Verdun to Marcel and Lucienne Dupuis Major. A loving wife and sister, Marlene is survived by her husband Victor Levin, her brother Pierre Major and his partner Annie Laporte.

Throughout her life, Marlene showed a deep love for animals, nature, music and excellence in education in all its facets, and she touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

She was known for dedicated and devoted service to education, to democratic, fair and responsible leadership, and she will forever be remembered as a mentor and cherished colleague, a prize-winning valedictorian, a match for me who greatly enriched my life, and a woman who showed unflagging courage and sacrifice in the face of adversity.

A private memorial service will take place near Montreal in the near future. In honor of Marlene, donations can be made to the Ecomuseum Zoo, SPCA, or another charity of your choosing. We take comfort in knowing that she is at peace.
