My mom has always been a fighter and a very strong woman, she showed this even at the end of her wonderful life going on 94 years old. She is and will always be dear to me and the hole family. She looks and shows as a quiet, reserved, calme, understanding, peaceful and good person; no body has ever said anything bad about her, to the contrary, every comment I got was positive, helpful and loving from anyone I have met and that I had interacted with my mom. She is a "one of a kind pearl"!!!
She always had a drive to support, help and have positive thoughts about all the people, friends and family she had the privilege of meeting. She is more than a wonderful & loving mother and has successfully raised 6 children through good, hard and sometimes challenging times. Also, never did hear my father and her loving husband Georges, say, raised his voice or was mad at her; God bless him! Since Geroges was taken by sickness more than 35 years ago, she has managed the family, helped and raised her children. She was, on top of all that, the family provider; for this Mona was an Avon representative for close to 50 years (yes 50 or maybe it's 40!!!) She set-up and maintained a painting class that turned into a ceramic pottery studio where she taught, created and worked with her artistic skills. She always had a big and wonderful garden every year the size of a baseball diamond. Potatoes, broccoli, peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes. Also, we had apple trees, prune, strawberries and raspberries around the house. We never missed out or was never short of anything. If that was not enought, she baby sat, made lunch for kids of neiboring families and some of her grand-children during the school years and anytime her children, as adults having kids of their own needed, baby sat many of her "grand siblings".
Mom, thank you for all that you have done and all the rest you did and we did not notice during your life. I know you did all of this with caring, loving and the belief in a good personne is present in all and in their hearts, as your was the BIGGEST of all!
Thank you all, hospital network staff, Ricky, Laurie, Gen, Claire, Max, Kass, Fran & friends that have supported in her last day's. Now after more than 30 hours at the hospital by your side, I'm taking a little rest for the inevitable in the next day/hours...
As you exhale your last sweet breath....
Love you mom!
