Just saw this on Facebook.  I always admired Walters mechanical ability to create anything he set out to do.  Last time I saw Walter ( about 20 years ago) he gave me a wooden ball inside of a ball inside of a ball,  everyone that saw it always wondered how it was done.  That was Walter always creating something.  I’m sorry for your loss, I’m sure he will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.

Wir, Monique und Pierre aus Holland lernten Walther kennen während unseres ersten Besuchs bei Kathleen, Jason, Barbara, Bella und Ethan.
Ein Sehr intelligenter man, gastfrei und er wahr stolz das er noch immer Deutsch sprechen konnte.
Deutsch war fast immer die Sprache in die wir uns begegneten.
Er Genies von diese momenten.
In Januar 2018 waren wir noch in Kanada und wollten Ihm besuchen aber Seine Krankheit hat es leider nicht erlaubt.
Schlafe ruhig lieber Walter, wir vergessen Sie niemals.

Walter Wenninga, the grandfather of our Canadian friend Kathleen.
We, Monique and Pierre from Holland met Walther during our first visit to Kathleen, Jason, Barbara, Bella and Ethan.
A very intelligent man, hospitable and he was proud that he could still speak German.
German was almost always the language we met.
He enjoyed these moments.
In January 2018 we were still in Canada and wanted to visit him but unfortunately his illness did not allow it.
Sleep well Walter, we never forget you.


Our deepest condolences to the whole family, much love during this time.  Our three daughters have fond memories of decorating the large Christmas tree which was in the main house.  They spoke of this joyous time they spent with Jaine,  and to this day still speak of it.  We appreciate the warmth and love that was shared during those times.  Us also visiting his shop in the house and him showing us all the different machines he ran all at once.  Sharing all his wonderful stories. Always felt welcomed in his home.  He will be greatly missed.  We were so fortunate to have known such a great man.♥️

It's with great sadness to hear of the passing of a Great man,Father and Grandfather our deepest condolences to family

I grew up with the Wenninga's you might say., Barbara and I met in grade 1, 1949-1950.  We both had sisters who hung out together, sometimes the 4 of us.,  Great memories with their mom and dad., I practically wanted to stay there forever., So much fun. One thing as a young girl that I remember when  Walter built  a fiber-glass car and he would run it up the alley, and ram it into a pole just to see how it kept. I remember that the most., .. and Many many more things,. Wonderful  50's with the Wenninga's



Our deepest sympathies to Walter's family and friends he will be greatly missed by all. We first met Walter when our son Jason started to date his granddaughter Kathleen. Walter was one of the most interesting people we've ever met. He was a self made, self taught man. If it wasn't made he could make it, if it needed to be developed he developed it. We doubt there was much he couldn't do. Our  first memory of Walter was his driving over to his daughter Barbara's house for dinner one evening in his new Jaguar, He loved his Jags !Walter lived a long interesting life, he really did it his way.
