Elsie B. Beaton

The passing of Elsie Beaton of Saskatoon occurred June 11, 2012 in Saskatoon at the R.U.H. at the age of 89 years. Mom was born on the farm in Handel, SK on September 29, 1922.

Mom leaves to morn her passing, her children Don (Velma) of Saskatoon, Thelma (Ken) Nielsen of Bright Sand Lake, Peggy (Neil) Heatherington of Aberdeen and Allan (Brenda) of Saskatoon; Thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren; one sister Hazel of Edmonton. She was predeceased by her husband Walter and one son Robert, three brothers and five sisters.

Mom married Dad in 1942 and after he returned from overseas in 1945 they raised their family in Herschel. Mom was involved in the Legion Auxiliary and the Royal Purple. She enjoyed curling in her younger years and later bowling and cards. They moved to Rosetown in 1994 and Mom moved to Saskatoon in 2008 to be closer to family.

The Memorial Service was held at the Rosetown United Church on Friday, June 15, 2012 at 2:00 pm. Memorial Donations may be made to the Rosetown & District Health Foundation Building Fund. Clements Rosetown Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
