George passed away peacefully at the Rose Villa Care Home in Rosetown SK at the age of 89 years. He was born in Harris to John and Janet Cumming. On October 18, 1950 George married Betty Florence May at the Harris United Church, they lived at Bents in the Glen Eagle District and Harris for 64 years, and they had one son Robert (Bob) Cumming.
George is survived by his loving wife Betty, their son Bob and his wife Lisa Trask and five grandchildren; Jessica and Travis Bender, Kathleen Cumming, Becky Mayer, Nick Mayer and Cole Mayer; his sisters, Mary Basler of Saskatoon and Violet (Ray) Morse of Chilliwack BC. He was predeceased by his parents John and Janet Cumming.
A Graveside Service for George was held Saturday, October 25th, 2014 in the Harris Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Jo-Ann Hills officiating.
