

With heavy hearts and deep sorrow we are saddened to announce the passing of Perry Cormack on June 9, 2013. Perry passed away peacefully at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, SK with his family by his side. Perry was born in Dodsland, SK on February 23, 1959 to George and Christena Cormack. He attended Dodsland Elementary School and Plenty High School. Perry went to SIAST-Palliser Campus and graduated from the Truck Driving Course. His trucking career included long-haul trucking with his brother, log hauling, propane delivery, and working in the oil patch. His last chosen career was safety coordinator at R.E. Line Trucking. One of his lifelong dreams was to be a retired kept man which he accomplished in the last few months of his life. His farming career included grain, cows, chickens and wild boars. One of his favorite memories was custom combining in the states. Perry loved his family, they meant everything to him. He could tell you everybody’s birth year, a sign that showed how much he cared. Perry loved the farm, it was his dream one day to return to his roots and start farming again. He loved fishing, camping, curling and to travel enjoying many trips with his wife Debbie. He will always be remembered for his amazing sense of humor, great wit, his friendliness and how much he enjoyed a visit. Perry is survived by his wife Debbie, sons Stuart, Cameron (Malora Hawksworth) and Devin, step-daughter Koreena (Lonnie Farr), three grandchildren Tayla, Keston and Kyden, brothers David and Glenn (Patty McLaughlin), sisters Betty (Walter) Baker and Joanne (Al) Hanna, brother-in-law Les Kirk and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents George and Christena Cormack, sister Margaret Kirk, nephew Steven Cormack and niece Kimberley Kirk. Perry, we are going to miss you! We all love you! A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the Dodsland United Church with Marj Mack officiating. The family requested that those attending please wear red or IH apparel in memory of Perry. Interment followed in the Dodsland-Druid Cemetery.
