
Billy Reed Norman passed away peacefully 12/17/2020. Born in Galena, MO. Dec. 10, 1929 to the late George B. Norman and Addie J. Norman (Friese). He leaves behind Step-Son Charles D. Edwards, Step-Daughter-in-law Kathy Edwards, Sister Betty Windsor, Granddaughter Andrea Hutchings (Edwards), Great Grandchildren Natalie Hutchings and Jason Hutchings; Niece Jan Windsor and Best Friend Ed Quint. He was preceded by his Wife Shirley A. Norman (Kaser), Grandson Jason Edwards, and Brother-in-law Beau Windsor.
Billy attended and graduated in 1947 from Grant Union High School in Sacramento, CA. He served in the U.S. Air Force 1950-54 and was a Korean War Veteran. While in the U.S.A.F. he was stationed in England repairing electronic equipment for U.S.A.F. fighter jet aircraft. When returning from military service he was employed as a civil servant working at McClellan Air Force Base in Sacramento, CA. Where he modified and performed maintenance on the West Coast 600 mile early warning Radar stations. He later engineered modifications to U.S.A.F. fighter jet aircraft. After his retirement, he started playing golf and enjoyed it very much for years until his back would no longer allow him to play. He then continued to study the game by following it on TV. He was president of the homeowners association where he lived. He was a very kind and gentle person. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Graveside memorial will be announced at a later date.
