Diane and I were shocked today when we heard that Elias had gone to be with Rachel this past May.  We sincerely want his children and their families to know just how much we enjoyed having Rachel and Elias as our next door neighbors.  

Elias and I did our front yards together for all those years; the main thatching and aerating we always did together in the Spring.  We had a mutual agreement that who ever was home that week during the rest of the year would mow the other family's grass. Our front yards always looked outstanding, and well manicured.  It was during those special times that I learned a lot about Elias and Rachel's lives and what living there meant to them.   

Our Christmas season will never be the same either for us as we miss Rachel bringing over the hot plates of freshly made tamales from "Rachel's Kitchen". 

Elias  was one of the kindest and most gentle men I have ever met.  As I try to hold back the tears, I realize He is not here now.   God just brought him home to be with Rachel. 


So sorry to hear the passing of such a wonderful neighbor! Elias was such a wonderful and caring man and a joy to talk to. Growing up next door as a child he always was caring  to my brother and I as his own. Our deepest condolences to the Haro family! RIP Elias love and hugs to you in Racheal in heaven💗 till we meet again.
