Irene Jean Pettit

Born on March 12, 1929 in Bismarck, ND passed away on December 31,2014 into the arms of her Lord and Savor Jesus Christ. Irene was fearless and full of life and always ready for an adventure. In 1948 Irene came to California with her friend, leaving her family behind. There she met and married Earl Pettit, her husband of 42 years. They raised 2 children Craig Pettit (Cindi) and Renee Diller (John). Irene went to college and received an AA degree. She worked as secretary for Wrights Concession Distributions and then for the State Department of Heath for 10 years before retiring. She loved to fish, camp and travel. She is now at peace with Earl, her parents, sister Janette Brown, and other family and friends. She leaves behind her children, her 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson due in January, sisters Lila Huber and Delaine Gamble (who has given Irene great strength love and courage), cousins and many longtime friends and families. Irene was a wonderful woman who loved her family, friends and faith, and will be truly missed by all. Memorial services and Interment will be at Roseville Cemetery District, 421 Berry St, Roseville on January 8, 2015 at 2 pm.
