To my dear Uncle John and the Evans family, this guest book popped up this morning.  Gave me a chance to think about Aunt Janet and her wonderful life.... a life that gave my uncle a dedicated and loving mate for her lifetime, but a loving mother to her two children, Adrianne and John.  Aunt Janet was born a beauty inside and out.  A lady of the first order in her manners and concern for others.  I thank God for her life.

Dear Uncle John,
I am so sorry to hear of Aunt Janet's passing. I am sure she is smiling down on all of you and embracing you from heaven. I have such fond memories of her no nonsense corralling of Adrienne and I from whatever mischief we got ourselves into while riding Adrienne's horse through the terrain of your backyard.
I will keep you in my prayers.

From the time I was a little girl to the last time we visited in 2012, there was never a time I knocked on the Daniel's door without being ushered in enthusiastically as if I was completely and utterly important, loved and welcome. She showed great warmth always, whether I was 13 or 53... and beyond. I did not realize that she and my parents were at UCLA at the same time, and even got married the same year (1948). Janet and my Dad, Al Davis, were just a few weeks apart in age. Anyway, I am very blessed to have been raised down the street from Janet and John Daniel. I will love them both always. Suzy Davis
