Born on August 21, 1938, in Ontario, Canada, Kathleen carried a quiet strength and steady grace throughout her life. She was intelligent, resilient, elegant and compassionate — qualities that shaped both her family and her distinguished career.
Kathleen graduated from The University of Michigan and began her professional life as a Registered Nurse. Through dedication and leadership, rose to become a Director of Nursing. When she retired she stayed on as a consultant. She was respected for her strength, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to caring for others. Nursing was not simply her career; it was a reflection of her character — capable, steady, and devoted to helping those in need.
Above all, Kathleen was a proud mother and grandmother. She is survived by her two sons, John (wife Irina) and Shaun (wife Valerie); her grandchildren Christian (wife Krystal), Tyler, Johnny, Lauren, Ashlyn, and Dylan; and extended family members who loved her dearly. Her family was her greatest joy, and she took immense pride in watching them grow and build lives of their own.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Kathy Miskew, and her brothers, John and Don Miskew.
Outside of her professional life, Kathleen enjoyed shopping, dining out, reading and watching movies — simple pleasures that brought her comfort and happiness. She appreciated life’s everyday moments and found joy in time spent with those she loved.
She will be remembered for her quiet strength, her warmth, her humor and the deep love she gave so freely. Her absence leaves a profound space in our hearts, but the love she poured into her family will continue to guide us.
Her legacy lives on in the family who adored her and in the countless lives she touched through both her care and her leadership. Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the gift of her life and the memories we will cherish forever.
Kathleen will be laid to rest Friday March 27th at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Fair Oaks, CA.
