

Marguerite L. (Marge) Woodward of Loomis,California entered GOD's Kingdom on August 16, 2013 at the age of 80. She was the only child of Wallace Kenneth Lageson and Impie Saari Lageson. She was born on December 30, 1932 in Manhattan, New York.
When Marge was a young child, she moved to Redwood City, California with her mother. She was an avid dancer and performer taking piano, tumbling, ballet, jazz and tap lessons. She graduated from Sequoia High School where she was a drum major and majorette, Marge graduated from College of the Pacific in Stockton where she continued to dance, was active in the sorority, and crowned Homecoming Queen.Marge earned elementary and home economics teaching credentials and taught home economics in South Pasadena. Marge married her college sweetheart, Earl Woodward on June 28, 1958 in Vancouver, Washington. They made their first home in Oregon.
They moved to Paradise, California in 1959. Marge was a member of the Paradise United Methodist Church and sang in the choir. In 1963, Marge and Earl adopted twin girls.In 1968, they moved to Loomis where Marge enjoyed being a homemaker and a substitute teacher in the local elementary schools. She attended her daughter's activities and was a member of the Loomis United Methodist Church and sang in the choir. Marge enjoyed being a grandma and sewing for her grandchildren as well as boating on the delta with family and friends. She belonged to several organizations including the Loomis Quilt and Fiber Guild, American Sewing Guild, Prayer Shawl Ministry, Linus International, Shriner's Hospital for Children, Order of Eastern Star, Finlandia Club, and Oxbow Yacht Club where she was the newsletter editor. For the past 50 years, Earl and Marge held a 4th of July Family reunion at their home which included family from as far away as Finland.
Marge is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Neal Harris of Reedley,Ca and daughter and son-in-law Susan and Karl Tippets of Paradise, California, four grandchildren, Heidi and Kent Harris and Robert and Michelle Tippets.She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Gladys Ceciliani of Tracy,CA and Aline Perry of San Rafael, CA, two brothers-in-law, Frank Coelho of Tracy, and Jack Perry of San Rafael,CA and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl, sister-in-law, Margo Coehlo and brother-in-law, Arnold Woodward.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday September 28th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the First United methodist Church of Loomis, 6414 Brace Road, Loomis,California. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 2425 Stockton Blvd, Sacramento,CA 95817 or Autism Speaks, 1060 State Road 2nd Floor, Princeton, New Jersey 08540
