Cynthia Cindi A. Behnke

Cynthia Ann “Cindi” Behnke, 66, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Cleveland Clinic surrounded by her family. Cindi was born on March 21, 1947 in Detroit to Arthur and Dorothy (Lage) Novak. Raised in Detroit, Cindi graduated from Osborn High School in 1964. She met and married Henry A. “Hank” Behnke on October 23, 1965. Together they raised three sons. Mrs. Behnke was a dedicated employee of the Roseville Public Schools Transportation Department for over twenty years, retiring in 2011, yet still filling in as a substitute driver. Cindi was loved by all the children she interacted with over her career. She was an avid supporter of not only her boys, but also her grandchildren’s various sporting events. She enjoyed camping, travel, the cottage and trips to the casino with her sisters-in-law and her friends.

Cindi is survived by her loving husband of forty-eight years, Hank; devoted sons, Henry J. “Jim” (Bridgette) Behnke, Joseph E. (Kimberly) Behnke and “her baby” Justin B. Behnke; precious grandchildren, Cameron, Emma, Austin, Logan and Ashley Behnke. Cindi was pre-deceased by her parents.
