Hazel Sue McCartney

Hazel Sue McCartney, 75, passed away Friday - August 21, 2015 at her Eastpointe home surrounded by her loving family. Hazel was born on March 14, 1940 to Newton and Amanda (nee: Cole) Church. She was a care giver and a homemaker, excelling at both occupations. She is survived by her husband, Charles M. "Mike" McCartney; children, Otis (Sheila) Napier, Roscoe (Linda Lou) Clay, Adrian Dale Clay, Michael Haggerty and Melinda (David) O'Grady; brothers Bethel (Mary) Church, Ewell Slaven, and Corbett (Patty) Slavin; and sister, Shirley (Milton) Conley. Eleven grandchildren and Twelve great-grandchildren also survive. In addition to her parents, Hazel was pre-deceased by her son, Johnny Lee Clay; grandson Joseph Clay; and great-granddaughter Mariah Ann Mogielski. Memorial visitation for Hazel will be held on Saturday, August 29th from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 p.m. at her church: Maranatha Church of God in Warren, Michigan.
