Irene Wingate passed away on November 19, 2020, at age 76. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 26, 1944, to Charles and Wreatha Wingate. She was a twin to Pauline Mac Donald who predeceased her on July 5, 2007. She was a Roseville resident for 70 years. She is survived by her sister Roberta (Ronald) Neece, nephew Gerald (Beth) Mac Donald, and dear friends Nash and Lena Zaitouna and their three children Luke, Sophia, and Talia. Irene was a Clerk at the Roseville Public Library, where she retired. After she retired she worked at the Roseville Wine Shop, on 12 Mile and Groesbeck. There she made many friends with fellow employees and customers. She was told she had a very giving heart.
She was a state Fair multi blue-ribbon winner for her knitting. Anyone who received one of her knitted pieces felt blessed. Doing jigsaw puzzles was a favorite hobby while watching TV. Irene also loved doing activities at the Roseville Senior Center and taking bus trips with them. She did Wii Bowling at the center and was always an excellent bowler with many 200 games. In league play she even bowled a 299 game, one pin away from a perfect game. She loved children, collected dolls, and anything cat related. She was the "mom" to multiple cats.
Her Final resting place will be next to her parents at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends alike.
