Raymond Thomas Reiss, age 75, of Warren, Michigan, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Ray lived a life defined by generosity, resilience, and a love of family.
Ray was a proud veteran, serving as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division and as an Army Ranger. He carried those principles of courage, duty, and service into all aspects of his life, guiding him as he built a home, pursued his passions, and cared for those around him.
A man of many passions, Ray enjoyed classic cars, home improvements, and, above all, the time spent with his pets. He embodied generosity—always willing to lend a helping hand without expecting anything in return—and his warmth touched the lives of friends, neighbors, and loved ones.
Ray is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn (Miller); two sons, Ron (Amy) and Chad (Andrea); and cherished grandchildren, Jacob, Ryleigh, Shawn, Morgan, Matthew, Carson, and Reagan. He also leaves behind his sister, Kim (James), joining his late father Donald and Virginia (Koehler), as well as his brothers Donald (Sue) and Michael (Joanne), in heaven.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Ray’s family will remember him for his unwavering generosity, his steady presence, and his big heart. In his own words and actions, he showed what it means to give selflessly—often without fanfare—and to bring joy to others through simple acts of kindness and care.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations of servitude be made to someone in need in Ray’s name, so his spirit may continue .
