He was a 1956 graduate of East Detroit High School. He was married to Marie Calnicean on August 11, 1962, in St Clair Shores, MI. He worked as a Pattern Maker, in the tool and die industry for 30 years. He proudly and honorably served three years as a US Army Infantryman. Growing up in the Thumb, He was an avid outdoorsman. Hunting, trapping, and fishing "since the 4th grade". He loved football. He was captain and star player of championship 1954 Unionville HS football team. He was a champion in track and field, winning in State class C 440 relay. Working on farms, in his teen years, he loved to grow his vegetable garden. He loved to bake and cook many delicious meals and sweets.
He was a car enthusiast. He built and raced some fast ones, winning trophies at Detroit International Raceway. He was a honorable and gracious man, who was loved and respected by all lives he touched
He is survived by his children, Carla Yester, (Ed), Richard Sulki II, (Rebecca), David Sulki, (Carla), and William Anderson, (Kerry) Siblings: Christine Rhodes and Alan Sulki; grandchildren Larisa( HB), Eddie (Sammie), Ashley (Adam), Katrina (Gary), Hope, Kyle, Alex, Faith, Logan, Dominic, Chloe, and Matthew; great Grandchildren: Giovanni, Isabella, Malyah, Talya, Amiley, Brooke, Cirsten, Dayann, Adam, Ella, Maci, and Brantley; also many nieces and nephews; and even the Adopted neighbor ones. He was a Father to all.
