Ronald Edward Mruk of Roseville, Michigan passed peacefully at his house on June 9, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Sharon Rocker who predeceased him in 2011. He is survived by his 3 daughters; Karen (Bob) Morrison, Wendy (fiancée Charlie) Flanagan, Gayle (Joe) Raveane and predeceased by his son Scott in 1989. He is also survived by his loving step children: Dawn (Brad) Anderson, Clay Rocker, Beth (Brian) Glovier and his ten grandchildren; Sean, Chris, Lauren, Bryan, Caitlin, Jesse, Trisha, Cassie, Brandon, Emma and his one great grandchild Tyler. He was the eldest of two brothers; Gary (Christa) Mruk, Ken (Darlene) Mruk and loved by his many nieces and nephews; and we can’t forget his beloved dog, Jake. Ron, was a loving father to all his children.
He was born at Florence Crittenton Hospital on April 11, 1940 to the parents of Edward and Leadell Mruk. He grew up in Warren, Michigan and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1959. From there he obtained a certification in electronics and electoral wiring from Cass Tech and also achieved a certification in welding. He taught music, loved playing the guitar and even cut his “one and only single!” He was a man of many talents. Some would say, “A Jack of all trades!” He could fix anything and his daughters can attest to that! We knew… Dad could fix anything!
He worked at Vernors Ginger ale from the age of 18 years old to the year of 1981. His work ethic was “off the charts”! He later retired from Faygo Beverage Company on May 1st, 2004. Before he passed, his new past time, was going to the gun range with his brothers and enjoying a bite to eat with his many children. He was faithful, kind man, loyal and always there for each and every one of us! He often rescued us! He was our super hero!
Our father, grandpa, brother, and uncle: Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Dad you will always be missed and we carry your memory in our hearts forever! We love you Dad!
