Thank you to all my friends & family who have been by our kids, and my side, helping us to cope with this devastating loss,

     Please know that if we can all honor Steve he’d choose for us, to not hesitate to visit your loved ones often and don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today!  
     
     Tomorrow is Fathers Day, we’ll be honoring Steve in prayer. Please take time to visit your parents.  Many people suffer silently with mental illness, a short text, call, a visit might make the difference, don’t hesitate! 

      I ask you all to just love one another. I’ve always lived by the rule and raised our kids to as well: 

“Do unto others as you’d have done unto you”!

Our story:  summer 1988, .I walked into Rams Horn with my friends. We were cruising Gratiot!  We’d all rotate where we spent the night. A cook was admiring my friend. She pointed him out saying she was dating him. Steve was listening as he was cooking next to him and asked his friend Mike to introduce us. My friends  nicknamed Steve “Rambo” bc he wore a skinny tie thing on his forehead. I wasn’t interested in having a boyfriend, I just wanted to enjoy the summer before my senior year. I was only 16 and just got my license. Steve was 18, just graduated Fraser High. A Few days later he showed up at my house with that friend Mike who told me “Sorry, he insisted”!  Steve kept coming by my house winning my father over by bringing him Pepsi & Winstons when I wasn’t home. Finally one night Steve showed up in a stretch limo when all my friends were at my house. He said “Get in” !!  
I thought it was pretty bossy and didn’t really want to get involved.  My friends saw the limo and convinced me to go and bring all of them. After the ride , he took us to his house.  He told a little lie saying he was having a party. When we all got there, no lights were even!! His mom was in bed watching tv. He admitted he lied but told me he wanted me to just give him one chance and go out on a date with him. My friends all said I should, so I agreed. That date he again picked me up in a limo and took me to eat at the old El Charro on Utica road. When he dropped me off,   he told me he wouldn’t take no for an answer. He never tried to kiss me or disrespect me and said “One day you’ll marry me and we’ll have kids and you’ll be the best wife/mom ever” I was kind of mad honestly thinking that seemed so “forward & Arrogant”. I just said I’d go on another date but didn’t want a boyfriend and wanted to enjoy my senior year and just have fun with my friends.  30+ years later....here I am with our 2 beautiful kids through thick & thin, for better or worse. ❤️🙏🏻 

I remember the long cold nights watching Frisco and Chris play baseball. Steve would always offer me bug spray because of the Mosquito.  He had a great way of making me feel so welcome to be apart of the baseball family.  My heart broke when I heard the news. The Fatseas family is like a second family to me. I will always be thankful to have spent four years with Steve and his family watching the boys play baseball. 

Steve was my  neighbor across the street, him and his wife Belinda were the first people to welcome us to the neighbor hood 8 years ago. He was like a brother to me and truly enjoyed all the guy conversations we shared. He had a heart of gold and tried to do everything he could for everyone in our neighbor hood! He was always there to help a fella in need. I love you Steve and I’m truly gonna miss you friend! Until the day we see each other again you will never be forgotten but you will truly be missed! Love Ed  

Dear Belinda, Frisco, and Isabella,
 I was so heartbroken to hear the news of Steve’s passing. My heart forever goes out to you guys. Just know I am praying daily and that you guys are so strong and that I am here always. Every time Steve came up to school with Iz he was always so nice to me and wanted to know how I was doing and I am so glad that Iz and I made him happy with our Prince dancing videos! Steve you will be truly missed and forever in our hearts.

     Unfortunately we never had the pleasure of meeting Steve, but none the less we have heard so much about him through our daughter and her boyfriend Frisco, that we felt we knew him. Belinda, Frisco, and Bella, words cannot adequately express our feelings of sorrow to hear of Steve’s passing. He was an amazing person; always a kind word, a warm smile and a pleasure to be around.  God has taken home a Special Angel. Steve will be very missed and Always remembered. We have always loved your family and felt more like family to each other than friends. We are thankful and blessed God brought us all together. We will always remember Steve’s Compassionate Heart that Radiated through his Genuine Contagious Smile! Steve had no limits when it came to being there for others without hesitation.  We have enjoyed the many times together. The times of being educated about his birds then the laughing over some of the goofy things the birds would say and do! Oh how he loved them birds an those  birds loved and trusted Steve. We’ve shared walking through life together as our children grew up together.  We have shared so many times together over the past 19years. School, Catechism, hard times, good times, holidays, birthdays, homework, parties etc. There was that one time I stopped over and Steve an I played a game of chess and yes Steve won! Steve often had us laugh about one thing or another.  Our most recent laugh together was at Alexis’ graduation party, my Italian relatives we don’t see often would stop and talk to Steve thinking he was my husband Dave! They were complementing him about the yard, pool etc. An Steve just went right along with it and enthusiastically talked  and laughed with them. We all laughed about it and still do! Dave thanked Steve for filling in for him! From that moment they then called each other by their own name! Steve will always have a special place in our hearts♥️

We were fortunate to meet thru our children and create some of the BEST memories of our lives thru them on the Baseball field.
It was a blessing to have families such as yours to create lifelong bonds with. Steve was a GREAT man and I will truly miss his ever glowing smile, upbeat personality, and his right out of "left field" sense of humor. Rest in peace my good friend!

We have many great memories from Sunday night coffee, fireworks, Easter egg hunts, pumpkin carving, birthday parties, the crazy videos....I could go on and on.  I hope knowing that these kind of memories of Steve and all of you exist and are cherished by us and others helps a little.    Steve will be missed but he will also be remembered. My Uncle Steve was a kind hearted and loving man. He always knew how to make me laugh even in some of my hardest times. Which he talked me through one of them and gave me great advice. I have so many wonderful memories from ones that he told me because I was still an infant to my adult life. This has been very devastating news. Please keep my aunt ninna, Frisco and Isabella in your prayers as they need as many as they can get right now. I love you Uncle Steve aka Prez, and I will do the best I can to watch over Aunt Ninna and the kids. 💔

It’s always a sad time when someone that so many loved leaves us. Only through faith can we get through these times. I will always miss my Father’s Day texts from my bruzz Steve. God rest your soul brother Steve.

Steve was a amazing man and friend . We met in 1985 at Muscles Gym where he trained and I managed . We became great friends and dancing buddies at Shadows Bar in the 80’s and 90’s . He always called over the years to check on me and him and Belinda where both there for me , I will miss you so much my friend . You are one of a kind person . Love you . RIP 🙏🏻❤️

BeLinda I am so sorry for your loss. Steve was a good person. I only got to know him for a year. Steve and I shared a common interest for are yards to dominate the neighborhoods  

I only met Steve once.    It was in a hotel in Roseville.  He brought his wife and  kids to visit BeLinda's mom and myself while we were in town .  There was a robbery at the hotel  2 days prior.  Steve was totally unphazed by the stick-up, though he did keep one eye on the door.   We all watched and cheered on the Red Wings in a championship game (back then they went to the playoffs) .  Steve had a personal way of talking to you like he had known you for years.  I remember that night with a great deal of fondness.   Rest in peace my friend.         

Steve was an outstanding person. A great example of a wonderful husband, father and friend. Belinda my heart breaks for you and your children. Thoughts and prayers for all of you during  this time of sadness. 

I remember the first day I met you at Belinda's dad's house my thought of you was what a handsome and respectful young guy Belinda has, no matter how many years we were apart when we happened to be at the same place you would make sure you find your way to me and sit down and talk with me I love you forever Steve rest in peace

Steve,  I will always remember you coming to me and taking me by the hand to see my daughter so many years ago.  The talks we had when you would call me.
