Wilbur D. “Fritz” Yockey, age 90, of Higgins Lake, passed away Friday, September 26, 2014. Mr. Yockey was born on March 15, 1924 to Chester and Florence Yockey in Angola, Indiana. Following Fritz’s high school graduation he enlisted in the Army Air Corps becoming a pilot and rose to the rank of Captain. After the war Mr. Yockey worked for Ford Motor Company where he was a Machine Repairman retiring in 1986 after 26 ½ years there. Among his hobbies, Fritz enjoyed cards (taking others money !!!!), hunting, fishing, trophy winning bowler, and being a fun Grandpa.
Beloved husband of the late Thelma. Dear father of David, Claudia Costello, Bruce, Jeffrey (Donna), Michael (Cynthia) and the late Wilbur, Jr. 13 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
