Alicia D. Cook, 59, passed away on August 16, 2024 with her family by her side. Born on May 13, 1965, in Atlanta, Georgia, Alicia grew up in Roswell, Georgia. She was a graduate of Lassiter High School.
Alicia faced a four-year battle with cancer with remarkable strength and perseverance. Known for her knowledge and skill of technology she often helped family and friends on how to use their computers and phones. Her love for laughter led her to enjoy comedy movies and she was an avid reader who found joy in books. Alicia was also highly organized, a trait that served her and her family well throughout her life. She enjoyed taking care of her plants and especially loved cactuses.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 32 years, Steven Cook; beloved daughters, Sydnie Cook and Kayla Cook (Jon); and cherished grandchildren, Sabrina and Sofia Mitchell, and Samuel and Benjamin Cook. Alicia is also survived by her father, Donald McPherson; and her siblings, Phyllis Evenson, Stanley McPherson, and Katrina Dickens. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara McPherson, and her sister, Angela Burrell.
