MURRELL, Anne Methvin of Alpharetta, Ga, passed away on December 3, 2016. A native Atlantan, she was the daughter of Charles B. and Ella Huffman Methvin. Anne graduated from Northside High School 1955 and attended the University of Georgia and Georgia State University. Married in 1958 to Clifton H. Murrell, the couple resided in Dunwoody for over 40 years. Anne loved spending time at the beach, playing bridge and painting. She is preceded in death by her husband Clifton and leaves behind a loving family that includes three children, Pam (Dick) Alesch of Alpharetta, Lynn (Rick) Johnson of Milton, and Cliff (Jessica) Murrell of Leadville, CO; her sister Kay (John) Whatley of Roswell; and four grandchildren, Richie (Allison) Johnson, Ryan (Megan) Johnson, Lauren Alesch and Kallie Alesch; and two great grandchildren. A visitation will be on Tuesday December 6, 2016 at the Roswell Funeral Home on Mansell Rd. from 3:00pm to 8:00pm. Rick Statum, Anne’s nephew, will officiate the funeral service at Alpharetta First Baptist Church on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 1:00pm with interment services at Green Lawn Cemetery immediately following.
