Betty Callaway Webb

Betty was a kind and loving individual who took pride in her appearance as she was always “dressed to the nines.” She was a loving wife, a great mother and a proud mamaw and great-grandmother. The Lord and family were two of the most important things in her life and she will be deeply missed.

Betty was an active member of Roswell First Baptist Church, as was her family. Her attendance was faithful and she made lifelong friends in her Sunday School Class. Her husband, Bill, was a member of the choir and her children, David and Julie, can remember the church family being an important aspect of their childhood.

Betty was a talented musician and played the organ, piano and even sang to her children. She was a great mother who instilled values into her family as well as a love of Southern food. She and Bill were happy travelers and enjoyed visiting the various states in the U.S. through various healthcare conventions; some of her favorite places were casinos and the beach.

Mrs. Webb is preceded in death by her parents, George Ivey Callaway and Emma Ruth Miles Callaway, and two sisters, Jean Gray and Wynell Cross.

Her memory will be cherished by her husband of 71 years, Willis “Bill” Lee Webb; son, David Webb and his wife, Frankie; daughter, Julie Guy and her husband, David; five grandchildren, Jordan and Houston Webb and Aidan, Janna and Kayla Guy; great-grandchild, Palmer; nieces and nephews, Janice Nichols, Mike Cross, Sally, Chris and Jeff Gray, Mark and Ellen Little and Gail Mollenkopf; and many other extended family members and friends.

The Webb family will receive friends 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Roswell Funeral Home. Celebratory services will follow in the funeral home’s chapel with Dr. Kevin Head of Roswell First Baptist officiating. Mrs. Webb will be laid to rest at Green Lawn Cemetery & Mausoleum.
