Billy (Bill) G. Long, 79, died March 29, of lung cancer. He was born in Macon, Ga. July 15, 1932. Bill graduated from Lanier High School and Georgia State University. He also attended John Marshall Law School. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean war. He was retired from United Refrigerated Service where he served as Vice President and General Manager. Bill was a member of Woodstock First Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Medlock. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patti Arnold Long. Bill is also survived by sons, Lawrence William Long and his wife Cathy and Patrick Keith Long and his wife Angela and four grandchildren. No service is planned (by his request). The family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, in lieu of flowers.
